Indian star cricketer Rohit Sharma has undergone successful surgery in London. He got injured in the final ODI against New Zealand playing in Vishakapatnam on his right thigh. Selectors find him unfit for the series against England and hence he was not picked in the squad. He has tweeted for his surgery being successful and posted a photo of himself on the hospital bed. Board of Control for Cricket in India ( BCCI) has informed that operation was successful and he is recovering well. "The medical team of the BCCI confirms that India batsman Rohit Sharma underwent a surgery on his right thigh on Friday, November 11, 2016, in London. The procedure was successful and Rohit will be discharged from the hospital in the next 24 hours," the Board said in a statement. "BCCI medical team is constantly monitoring his treatment and will oversee his recovery, towards becoming match fit," it said. "All went well. Thank you for your good wishes. Can't wait to be back at it," he said on his Twitter handle. As per the fitness reports, he will be missing the ground for 10-12 weeks means he will also miss the upcoming series against Australia to be started on February 23, 2017.
