New Delhi: Amid claims of vaccine deficiency ahead of the start of the third phase of corona vaccination, the Health Ministry on Thursday informed that states and Union Territories have more than one crore vaccine doses left. With this, the government has said that more than 20 lakh rupees will be supplied in three days. The Health Ministry has also denied the claim that vaccination has been affected due to vaccine shortage in Maharashtra. Media reports quoting some maharashtra state government officials said that the vaccine has run out in the state and the vaccination drive is being adversely affected. On this, the Health Ministry said that 7,49,960 vaccine doses are still available with the state for eligible population groups. It is clear that the total corona vaccine dose received by Maharashtra till April 29 (8 am) is 1,63,62,470. The Health Ministry further said that out of this, the total consumption including wastage (0.22 per cent) was 1,56,12,510. The remaining 7,49,960 vaccine doses still exist with the administration for eligible population groups with the state. The Health Ministry said that more than 1 crore corona vaccine doses (1,06,08,207) are still available with states and Union Territories. More than 20 lakh (20,48,890) vaccine doses will be made available to states and Union Territories in the next three days.
