New Delhi: The plains and hilly areas of north India cooled down, but sultry heat is causing inconvenience to people in many parts of the country. The Met department said that the heat wave conditions are not likely to continue for the next five days. The temperature is expected to drop by three to four degrees Celsius for the next five days. Earlier, an alert was issued on july 1-2.

IMD said in a statement that the impact of heat wave has declined from the plains of northwest India. The western disturbances on Friday caused widespread rainfall in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and adjoining areas of western UP. This brought relief from the heat wave. According to met department, the maximum temperature is expected to drop by three to four degrees in the plains of Northwest India.

According to media reports, there is no possibility of heat wave conditions in the plains of North Western India for the next five days. The heat wave conditions have reduced due to South-Westerly winds emanating from the Arabian Sea. The Met department said that the winds has lot of humidity due to which the weather will remain humid for the next five days. Moreover, there is no possibility of any major change in the weather in the coming days.
