Will Indian railway resume service on April 15? Know the truth

In the midst of the havoc of Corona on Thursday, Indian Railways denied all media reports that claimed that trains would resume operations from April 15 after the 21-day nationwide lockdown was over.

In the statement, it has been said by the Railways that the Railway Ministry has not yet issued any travel protocol for running the train after the lockdown nor for the passengers, as stated in the media report. Railways have said that it is premature to speculate about the criteria for resuming passenger services at such a time.

Apart from this, the statement further said that the railway will take a decision keeping in mind the interests of all the stakeholders including the passengers. All concerned are requested to ignore the misleading news being shown by some parts of the media. Railways said that when a decision will be taken in this regard, all concerned will be informed about it. The same, the Indian Railways' comment came after some news reports claimed that train services would start after the lockdown. Reports said that Indian Railways has prepared a plan to resume train services after 14 April. There will be thermal screening of passengers before entering the railway station, passengers will have to come to the station 4 hours before the train starts.
