Lucknow: The Bhujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo and former UP CM Mayawati have demanded strict action against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP, calling the incident of assault on the Tehsildar in Kannauj shameful. Mayawati said on Thursday that the incident of misbehavior and assault by a BJP MP with a tehsildar of a Dalit class is shameful and sadly, accused MPs are roaming outside freely instead of going to jail.

Mayawati said that the CM Yogi needed to take drastic steps in this matter so as to prevent recurrence of such incident. Mayawati wrote in a tweet that "It is absolutely shameful to have a Dalit Tehsildar in Uttar Pradesh's Kannauj district doing his honest duty recently, the BJP MP who has been beaten and abused etc. Mayawati further wrote that, but sadly, this MP is still roaming outside instead of going to jail, which caused a huge fury among the Dalit employees across the state. The chief minister should take action in this case so that MPs ahead but could also do such a thing. "

Furthering her tweet, Mayawati wrote that. Also, if there is no such treatment in the entire state, especially with the Dalit employees, then for this, they should immediately take strict action against this MP. This is the demand of the BSP.
