Indian Railways has made some changes in the rules since Saturday, giving a little relief to the passengers. The Railways have decided to prepare a second reservation chart. The railways have decided to prepare a second reservation chart 30 minutes before the scheduled departure of the train from the station. For the past few months, the COVID-19 epidemic was changed two hours ago. The Indian Railways said in a statement, "As per the instructions established before the COVID-19 crisis, the first reservation chart was prepared at least four hours before the scheduled departure of the train. Subsequently, bookings available through PRS system or the internet were on a first-come-first-served basis. The booking was up to the second reservation chart. The other reservation charts were ready for the train's fixed or rescheduled departure from 30 to 5 minutes before the moment. The cancellation of pre-booked tickets was also valid during this time frame as per the provision of refund rules. In the wake of the COVID-19 epidemic, orders were issued to prepare a second reservation chart two hours before the train's fixed or rescheduled departure, changing the rules of the second reservation chart. Now, again, the rule has changed, making the second reservation chart ready 30 minutes before the train was missed. Thus, the ticket booking facility on online and PRS will now be available till the second chart is ready. The Railway Information System Centre has, accordingly, made necessary changes in the software. This means that from Saturday, the passenger station can book its ticket up to 30 minutes before the train runs and can also cancel the booked ticket before the second chart is ready if required.
