The eagerly awaited first glimpse of the Vande Bharat sleeper train has finally been unveiled to the public. Indian Railways is all set to revolutionize rail travel with this groundbreaking design. A Twitter user has generously shared images of this exciting development on the popular microblogging platform.

In the words of one Twitter enthusiast, "The first look of Vande Bharat Sleeper coaches is here. The Vande Bharat sleeper train boasts a total of 857 berths, comprising 823 for passengers and 34 for dedicated staff members. Additionally, each coach is equipped with a convenient mini pantry."

The production of these sleeper trains is being overseen by a consortium led by India's Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) in conjunction with Russia's TMH Group, which secured the contract for supplying 120 out of the 200 new Vande Bharat sleeper trains. The remaining 80 units will be crafted by a consortium consisting of Titagarh Wagons and BHEL.

The task of crafting the innovative design for the Vande Bharat sleeper coaches has been entrusted to the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) and Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML), two prominent players in the Indian railway industry.

The introduction of Vande Bharat sleeper trains will be a game-changer for Indian Railways, allowing passengers to embark on long-distance journeys in the comfort and speed of these high-speed trains, all while enjoying a peaceful night's sleep.

Regarded as a symbol of progress and self-reliance in India, this indigenous semi-high-speed train is poised to offer an entirely novel travel experience. Speed, safety, and top-notch service are expected to be the defining characteristics of this exceptional train.

Equipped with world-class amenities, the Vande Bharat Express promises a luxurious and comfortable journey for passengers. The maiden voyage of the Vande Bharat Express, connecting New Delhi and Varanasi, was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 15, 2019.

Manufactured at the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai, this train stands as a testament to the 'Make-In-India' initiative, proudly showcasing India's engineering prowess.

The project to develop these indigenous semi-high-speed train sets commenced in mid-2017, and remarkably, within just 18 months, the ICF Chennai successfully completed Train-18.

In January 2019, the country's inaugural semi-high-speed train was christened the Vande Bharat Express. This remarkable train achieved a commendable top speed of 180 kmph on the Kota-Sawai Madhopur section, further solidifying its status as a remarkable feat of engineering and innovation.
