NEW DELHI: The Center intends to repurpose CoWIN and Aarogya Setu, two key components of the country's digital health infrastructure that were used to track Covid-19, as India's health application. R.S. Sharma, CEO of the National Health Authority (NHA), said that CoWIN is being repurposed for the national immunization programme while Aarogya Setu is being repurposed as India's health application. "The Indian government is currently repurposing Aarogya Setu as a health application. For the national immunization programme and as a health management information system for small doctors, the CoWIN, Covid-19 vaccination portal is being repurposed "Speaking at the two-day Arogya Manthan 2022 event on Sunday to commemorate the completion of the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAYfourth )'s year and the first year of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM). Sharma said that by utilising these two Ayushman Bharat pillars, the NHA had built a reliable and interconnected infrastructure. He said that Covid is being changed to satisfy India's worries about digital health, so ideally it no longer poses a problem. People won't have to wait in line for very long to check in at a hospital because they can just scan and get an OPD card, he noted. Mansukh Mandaviya, the union health ministry has launched the two-day Arogya Manthan 2022 programme on Sunday. The PMJAY beneficiaries are the most significant stakeholders in the largest public health insurance programme in the world, said Mandaviya, who also noted that over 24 crore Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) numbers and over 19 crore Ayushman Cards have been generated throughout the nation.
