New announcement: ASHA workers to get Rs 2,000 but govt couldn't kept its last promise

Indore: Minister-in-charge Tulsiram Silawat has recently made a big announcement. In fact, he has announced an incentive of 2,000 rupees to all ASHA workers in the district for serving in Covid. In a recent announcement, he said, "All ASHA workers in the district are participating in the campaign against Corona with great vitality, I bow to the service of ASHA workers and announce that a special incentive of Rs. This will benefit 1499 ASHA workers in the district".

The announcement was tweeted by JD Jansampark Indore. The tweet reads: "The Minister in charge of Indore, Shri@tulsi_silawat has said that all ASHA workers in Indore district are participating in the campaign against Corona with great vitality. #COVID19 @mp_wcdmp' also reads in another tweet: "A special incentive of Rs. 2,000/- will be given to ASHA workers as service honours. This will benefit 1499 ASHA workers in the district".

 

 

After receiving information about this, ASHA workers say, "Last year, in covid, it was asked to pay Rs. 9,000 separately for conducting the survey work, the government had said that every month money would be given for working in covid, only once we were given Rs. 9,000, after which no money was received". Besides, ASHA workers also said, "We have worked at risk of our lives during the corona period, went to the field, worked with the medical team, yet we have to work for two thousand rupees". ASHA workers have demanded from the government that their salary to be increased.
