Whole look of Indore station will change with worth 1000 crores, know the complete plan

Indore: The Railway Ministry has finalized the plan for the redevelopment of the Indore railway station after a long exercise. Rs 1000 crore will be spent on the entire project. An amount of Rs 340 crore has been approved for the project in the budget. Subsequently, Railways have started preparations to invite proposals from companies to give a new modern look to the Indore station. The design of the city's main station will be inspired by Rajwada. Its planning has been prepared according to the needs of the next 50 years.

Earlier, the park road station was not included in the plan, but now that part has also been included. The project will also develop railway land in front of the railway station (across Sarwate Bus Stand Road). Earlier also, the plan was made, which was Rs 400-450 crore. The project has now been materialized by removing its shortcomings and changing the planning. MP Shankar Lalwani said that the Railway Ministry will call a tender on February 15 for the redevelopment of the Indore station. Interested companies will be able to give their offers till April 15.

After that, by June 15, the tender will be finalized and the work will be handed over to the best offer company. Under the project, commercial development of land on both sides of the front and platform number one along the station area will be done. Indore station will have a skywalk facility, as well as direct connectivity to the station from the metro station. The master plan for station redevelopment will have a grand entrance, roof plaza, executive lounge, additional entrance, new platform cover shed, drainage arrangements in the station area along with Wi-Fi and other facilities. In the earlier project, there was a plan to lay a throughline by breaking platforms two and three of Indore station. Now he has been removed. The MP said that now these two platforms will be improved by making necessary improvements. If needed, the possibility of building a new platform in the park road station area in the second phase will also be included. He said that Indore is the fastest-growing city in the country. That is why the Railway Ministry also does not want to leave any stone unturned in the development of this place.
