The public is not getting any relief from the rising prices of continuous oil. Today the price of petrol has gone up once again. A litre of petrol has become 35 paise a litre expensive in the capital Delhi. Know today's latest prices... With petrol prices rising today, petrol in Delhi has now gone up to Rs 99.16. However today there has been no increase in diesel prices. Diesel is currently selling at Rs 89.18 per litre in Delhi. It has been reported through the same RTI that customs and excise duty on petroleum products has increased the central government's earnings by more than 56% during the corona period. The government has earned about Rs 2.88 lakh crore from indirect tax. In 2020-21, customs duty of Rs. 37,806 crores were collected on the import of petroleum products. While central excise duty earned Rs 4.13 lakh crore, imports of petroleum products earned Rs 46,000 crore as customs duty. Starting at Rs 90.40 per litre on May 1, petrol prices in the national capital Delhi have now gone up to Rs 99.16 per litre, up from Rs 8.76 per litre in the last 60 days. Similarly, diesel prices in the capital also increased by Rs 8.45 per litre to Rs 89.18 per litre in Delhi in the last two months.
