Tehran: Three people have been hanged on Friday (May 19, 2023) on charges of anti-hijab demonstrations in Iran last year. According to the report, their names are Majid Kazemi, Saleh Mirhashemi and Saeed Yaghoubi. Iran's justice system has convicted all three of them for waging war against Allah, which is called 'Moharebeh' in the local language. All three people were arrested in November 2022 and sentenced to death within just 2 months. According to reports, the sentence has been confirmed on the Iranian Judiciary's website 'Mizan'. According to this website, 3 Iranian security personnel lost their lives in the firing by the three convicts. An Iranian police officer and two soldiers of the paramilitary forces were among those killed in the firing. Along with this, the Iranian prosecutors had also charged these three with threats to national security and tampering with internal security. All three were arrested in Isfahan city of Iran in November 2022 during nationwide protests following the death of 22-year-old Iranian girl Mahasa Amini. Iranian prosecution says that all three convicts had confessed to their crime. In this regard, he had also said that there was sufficient evidence. However, human rights organizations around the world have protested the Iranian government's execution of Majid Kazemi, Saleh Mirhashemi and Saeed Yaghoubi. Amnesty has even accused all three of being tortured by the Iranian security forces before they were hanged. For the time being, these international appeals did not make any difference to Iran. On 13 September 2022, a Kurdish girl Mahsa Amini was arrested in Tehran, the capital of Iran. Mahsa had come to visit Tehran with her family. It was alleged that Mahsa was not wearing the hijab properly and her hair was visible. During this custody, 22-year-old Amini died on 16 September 2022. Amini's family had accused the police of torture. There was also talk of bleeding from Mahsa's ear. After this death, there were accounts and anti-government protests across the country.
