The Pakistan High Court has on Saturday charged the country's powerful intelligence agency ISI for pressure on the Chief Justice and other judges to make decisions in his favour on various issues. Islamabad high court judge Shaukat Siddiqui said that even the ISI had put pressure on Chief Justice and other judges in the case of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. Judge Shaukat Aziz said this in the Rawalpindi Bar Association on Saturday. Siddiqui openly said that the ISI is controlling the judicial system and the media. He said that today the judicial system and the media are under the control of the gun i.e. army. The judiciary is not independent. Even the media is getting instructions from the army. The media is not telling the truth. He is under the pressure of the army and has his own interests. In various cases, the ISI has pressurised them, again and again, to make decisions in its favour. ISI told the Chief Justice that before the elections on July 25, Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Miriam Nawaz should not be out of jail. He also instructed not to include him in the hearing of the hearing in the case of Nawaz Sharif and Maryam.
