Israeli soldiers shoot and kill Palestinian man during West Bank arrest raid

Tel Aviva: Israeli soldiers killed a Palestinian man and injured two others in the West Bank city of Nablus on Monday, medics and witnesses said. According to reports, Ahmad Jibril, the head of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society's Emergency and Ambulance Department, told reporters that 31-year-old Jamil al-Kayyal was shot dead and two other men were moderately injured.

According to Palestinian eyewitnesses, a special Israeli army force invaded the al-Ain refugee camp and the old city of Nablus to apprehend wanted Palestinian activists involved in anti-Israel violence. They said, Israeli soldiers also arrested a third man from his refugee camp home. Several Palestinian militants opened fire on Israeli forces to prevent them from entering the city of Nablus, according to Israeli media, but no Israelis were injured.

According to medics and eyewitnesses, a Palestinian demonstrator was killed and scores were injured amid skirmishes with Israeli soldiers near Nablus on Friday. According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, the demonstrator died as a result of a serious injury.

Every Friday, Palestinians hold rallies and protests against the Israeli government's policies of settlement expansion and land confiscation, which frequently result in conflicts with soldiers.
