J P Nadda to hold meeting with BJP's national general Secs on Jan 10

NEW DELHI: BJP chief J.P. Nadda will chair a meeting of the party's general secretaries on January 10 IN New Delhi to moot various issues.

The party is holding several of meetings with agendas linked to the Assembly polls in 9 states and the 2024 Lok Sabha election.

A top source in BJP  said, "J P Nadda will hold the meeting. Discussion will be done on the forthcoming state Assembly polls, Lok Sabha election 2024, UP corporation polls, and multiple events regarding the G20 Meet." "Multiple events will be held this year. This is a significant year for our party. World's eyes will be on our country.". The Assembly polls this year are being considered as semi-finals to the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Major states of , Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka,Telangana  Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh would go for polls this year, besides states from the northeast.

The first Assembly elections will be held in the northeastern states of Nagaland, Tripura, and Meghalaya, most likely in February or March. Their respective legislative Assemblies' periods are coming to an end on various dates in March. While the BJP is in control in Tripura, the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party is in charge in Nagaland. After the Centre decides, elections in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir may also take place this year.
