Jaganmohan Reddy all set to take Andhra throne

Early trends show YSR Congress establishing early leads in the majority of the Assembly constituencies in Andhra Pradesh. The party leads on 135 seats, TDP on 28 assembly segments while Pawan Kalyan's Janasena is leading on 3 seats. YSRCP chief Jaganmohan Reddy is heading to a big victory in Andhra Pradesh over his arch-rival TDP supremo and Andhra CM N Chandrababu Naidu as his party has taken in 135 seats while the TDP is ahead on 28 seats in the assembly based on initial trends. Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena Party, which joined hands with Mayawati’s BSP and the Left parties, was hailed as the X-factor in the assembly election and may play spoiler on some seats.

Both TDP and YSRCP chiefs have retained their strongholds. In Kuppam, which has been the citadel of CM Chandrababu Naidu since 1989, Mr. Naidu is leading YSRCP's K Chandramouli by a margin of 1126 votes.

In Pulivendula, YS Jaganmohan Reddy is trailing TDP's Venkata Satish Kumar Reddy by a margin of 11565 votes.

Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan, who contested the elections for the first time, is trailing behind Nagireddy Tippala of YSRCP with a narrow margin of 204 votes. His party is leading in one constituency. Today’s results will decide if Mr. Naidu will return as the king of Andhra Pradesh or will go on to become the kingmaker.
