Jammu: An encounter is going on between terrorists and security forces in the Chimmar area of Kulgam city of Jammu and Kashmir. Police and security forces killed two terrorists in the encounter. The police officer said that the identity of the slain terrorists could not be assigned. The police had received a report of the presence of terrorists here. A search operation is being carried out in the same Kulgam district. The encounter started after the terrorists opened fire in which two terrorists were killed. It is yet to be ascertained which terrorist organization these terrorists belong to. Police and security forces are carrying out the operation together. In Jammu and Kashmir, terrorist incidents are on the rise. It was only today that the joint operation of the CRPF and the police had achieved another major breakthrough. In Jammu and Kashmir, two terrorists were killed in a joint operation by security forces in Malhura in Pariampora on Tuesday night. AK Rifles and other weapons were seized from them. Earlier, on June 28 also, soldiers killed a terrorist. The police officer said that the search operation led to the firing by the terrorists on the security forces after which an encounter broke out between the two sides. Intelligence reports of the presence of terrorists were received from the Kulgam district.
