Rail Roko Campaign: Effect of movement in Jammu and Kashmir, farmers sitting on tracks

Srinagar: The rail roko movement of farmer organizations has also seen a lot of impact in Jammu, demanding the withdrawal of the new agricultural law brought by the central government. In Jammu, various farmer organizations sat on the train tracks and demanded the Central Government to cancel all three agricultural bills. The farmers stopped the demand for the repeal of the new agricultural laws on Thursday, the Rail Roko movement was called across the country.

This movement also saw the widespread impact in Jammu. At 12 noon, various farmers' organizations sat at the railway gate near Chhani Himmat in Jammu and staged a protest here. The farmers alleged that the central government is not withdrawing the law due to its obstinate righteousness, while the farmers of the entire country are sitting on the roads to the tracks in protest against this law. The farmers also requested Lt. Governor of the valley Manoj Sinha to be their advocate and convey their demands to the Central Government. The protesting farmers alleged that the central government has brought this new law to benefit some corporate houses, which will cause a lot of damage to both the country and the farmers.

The protesters said that due to this corporate culture in the present time, the farmers of America are in a bad condition and the same is going to happen to the farmers of India. Many farmer organizations are opposing the new agricultural laws brought by the central government. Farmers' organizations have been agitating on the borders of Delhi for more than two and a half months. Under which today, the rail roko campaign is being run by the farmers all over the country.
