Jammu and Kashmir: 8 priest of Vaishno Devi found corona infected

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir administration has given permission to open all the temples and religious places in the valley from August 16, but the board will decide on the visit of Vaishno Devi on Friday. In the Vaishno Devi temple, due to the ever increasing cases of Corona, there is still doubt. Corona's entry has been made in the Vaishno Devi temple complex even before the journey of world famous Shri Mata Vaishno Devi.

Eight more priests of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Bhavan have been found corona positive and so far corona infection has been found in a total of 12 people in the temple premises. Due to these conditions doubts have arisen on Vaishno Devi Yatra. On Tuesday, 3 Bhajan singers and one soldier were corona positive confirmed in the temple premises of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi. After this, two Katha priests and six other priests were found infected on Wednesday.

The board claims that they are monitoring the situation completely and a final decision can be taken on the trip on Friday. The order issued by the Jammu and Kashmir government on Tuesday said that a limited number of passengers will be allowed to come from outside the valley for these religious places. Everyday 5000 passengers will be allowed to visit Vaishnodevi Yatra, in which 500 passengers can be from outside the state. Registration of these passengers will be done online so that there is no crowd.
