Jammu Kashmir approves Transfer of land for various public purposes

JAMMU: On Monday, the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Council chaired by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, approved the Revenue Department's petition to transfer various parcels of land for public purposes.

The Administrative Council approved the transfer of six Kanal of land to the Jal Shakti Department for the construction of an overhead tank, rapid sand filtering plant, pump-cum-operator quarter, and PHE division office at Pulwama.

The Administrative Council also approved the transfer of 80 Kanal of land in Bandipora district to the Housing and Urban Development Department (H&UDD) for the purpose of building solid waste dumping sites.

In addition to realising the aim of a litter-free Jammu and Kashmir, proper and scientific solid waste disposal will improve public health by providing a cleaner environment and aid in mitigating environmental degradation and pollution.
