Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satyapal has refuted media reports claiming that there is a shortage of drugs in the Valley. In a statement, Satyapal owner said that there is no shortage of essential commodities and medicines in the state. In fact, we sent vegetables, eggs to people's homes on Eid. The opinion of the press changed in 10-15 days. Malik said, "The kind of situation in Kashmir would have killed 150 people in the first week, but our view is that not a single life should go. There won't be 10 days of telephones, so no problem, but we'll return all very soon." The Jammu and Kashmir administration said in a statement that 1165 drug shops have been opened in the state. "There are 7630 retail drug dealers in the Kashmir Valley while there are 4331 wholesale drug shops," the statement said. On average, 65 per cent of the shops are open." The administration says a total of 23.81 crore drugs have reached the state retailers, the highest in the last 20 days. The administration has said that we have 15-20 days of additional storage of medicines. "376 drugs are present at government and private drug stores," the administration said in a statement. 62 life-saving drugs are also available."
