Tokyo: A Japanese billionaire, his producer and a Russian astronaut have returned to safe Earth on Monday after spending 12 days in space. He is the first tourist to go into space after paying for himself after more than 1 decade. According to information received so far, fashion businessman Yusaku Maezawa, his producer Yozo Hirano and Russian astronaut Alexander Misurkin left the International Space Centre at 5.20 am Indian time on Monday from the Russian Soyuz spacecraft. They landed in Kazakhstan at 9.13 am, about 148 kilometres southeast of Kazakhstan city. Maezawa (46) and his 36-year-old producer are the first tourists to pay for the space centre themselves since 2009.
