JDU leader Mohammad Tanveer passes away due to corona, CM Nitish condoles

Patna: Bihar JDU leader and Legislative Council member Tanveer Akhtar passed away today. He had been ill for the past several days. He was admitted to the hospital last month after being infected with corona. He lost the battle to Corona on Saturday.

State CM Nitish Kumar has condoled his demise. In a tweet from his official Twitter handle, he wrote, "The passing away of Bihar Legislative Council member Mo Tanveer Akhtar ji is very sad. He was a skilled politician. His demise has caused irreparable damage to the political and social sector. His last rites will be performed with state honours".

Opposition RJD MLA Tejashwi Yadav has also condoled akhtar's death. In a tweet from his official Twitter handle, he wrote, "Shocked to hear about the untimely demise of JDU MLC Janab Tanveer Akhtar ji due to corona infection. May God bless the dead in paradise and give patience and courage to the family in this hour of crisis and sorrow".
