Kolkata: The issue of violence that erupted after the election results in West Bengal continues to grow. Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar has now summoned the Bengal Chief Secretary to seek a response in the matter. Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar tweeted that the Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) of Bengal has not submitted reports on the post-election violence, which is serious negligence. In this regard, the Chief Secretary has been called to meet before 7 pm.

On his Twitter handle, Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar wrote, "The non-reactive and neglectful behavior adopted by ACS Home HS Dwivedi in reporting on the law and order situation in the state and the steps taken to prevent post-election violence is not acceptable at all."  The report issued by the Governor further states that "ACS has not yet sent to me the report of DGP and Kolkata CP.  Which they have received only on May 3. It is to run away from responsibility."

The governor has said that it is worsening the already bad situation in the state. So the chief secretary has been called to meet before 7 p.m. He will give detailed updates on the law and order situation in the state, including reports sent by DGP and Kolkata CP to ACS.
