Lucknow: After winning the victory in Bihar, Nitish Kumar's party Janata Dal-United (JDU) is now preparing to set foot in Uttar Pradesh as well. The JDU is also preparing to field candidates for the next year's assembly elections in UP in 2022. It will be started on 23-24 of January in a ceremony in Lucknow on the birth anniversary of Jannayak Karpoori Thakur. CM Nitish Kumar has given its full responsibility to the party's National General Secretary KC Tyagi. Tyagi has been a four-time MP from UP and Bihar. He has former PM Chaudhary Charan Singh, V.P. Singh had experience working with many veteran leaders including Mulayam Singh Yadav. The organization also has potential. The party in UP is assessing all its types of the equation. Tyagi has informed that JDU will contest UP assembly elections in 2022. If the BJP will make an alliance then it is right. Otherwise, we will go to the field alone. Others are not thinking of any coordination with any party right now. He told that earlier our MPs and MLAs have also been in UP. I myself contested elections in 2004.
