6 people died during cleaning septic tank in Deoghar

Ranchi: Six people including two laborers have died due to poisonous gas in a septic tank in Devipur police station area of Deoghar district of Jharkhand today. Deoghar SP Piyush Pandey has confirmed this. According to the information, a new septic tank was built by Brajesh Chand Barnwal near Devipur main market. This morning a workers first landed in the tank to open the centering.

After not coming out for a long time another worker also went to the tank, but he also did not return. After this, one by one, two other laborers also landed inside. The landlord and his brother descended into the tank to check if they did not even get out. Villagers gave the information of this incident to the police over phone. The police, with the help of JCB, broke the tank and took out all six people in an unconscious state.

All of them were rushed to the hospital, where the doctor declared them all dead. Those killed in the incident include 48-year-old Govind Manjhi of Kolhadia village in Devipur police station area and his son Bablu Manjhi, 26, and Lalu Manjhi, 24, besides another laborer, Leelu Murmu, 27, of Piraha Katta. The landlord, 48-year-old Brajesh Chand Barnwal and his 42-year-old brother Mithilesh Chand Barnwal were also killed.
