Jharkhand govt launches Jharniyojan portal for JOB registration

RANCHI: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Friday, March 17, launched the Jharniyojan Portal, created  by the Department of Labour Planning, Training and Skill development, in the Chief Minister' chamber at the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly.

The government is making an effort to give employers and job seekers a platform through the website http://jharniyojan.jharkhand.gov.in. Candidates can register on the portal, provide information about themselves, and find jobs that fit their profile. Employers can share information about their businesses and the workforce associated to them.The "Employment of Local Candidates Act 2021 in the Private Sector of Jharkhand State Act" has reportedly been passed by the government of Jharkhand in accordance with the notification of the rules related to the implementation of the Act, with the aim of providing employment opportunities to the state's unemployed youths at the local level. After then, the entire state of Jharkhand will be subject to this Act as of September 12, 2022.

All such establishments in the private sector with a workforce of ten or more must comply with the provisions of this Act. . All such establishments have to register themselves on this portal.If any vacancy arises in any of the enterprises covered by this Act after it takes effect, 75% of the appointments for positions paying up to Rs 40,000 in salary must be made locally (in Jharkhand). The youth of Jharkhand who are willing to take advantage of this act will have to register on the employment portal, the officials informed.
