Jharkhand police caught Two-and-a-half quintals of ganja being hidden in car

Dhanbad: Police have been hit hard. Koderma police have recovered the ganja being transported from Visakhapatnam district of Andhra Pradesh to Patna. Two people have been arrested in this case. However, the police were conducting raids on cow smuggling. According to reports, the police had received information about cow smuggling. After which a search operation was being carried out by the Koderma police near Bagitand. When a car was checked during vehicle checking, about 2.46 quintals of hemp was recovered from it.

The police were also stunned to see such an overdose of ganja. Police have arrested the driver of the car and another. The seized ganja is valued at around Rs 20 to 25 lakh. According to the police, Ganja was loaded into a car from Visakhapatnam and was being brought to Patna. Both the arrested persons, Munna Rai and Santosh Das, are said to be residents of Vaishali district of Bihar.

Koderma Superintendent of Police M Tamil Vanan informed that a case has been registered under the Narco Act and police enquiries are on in the case. The arrested criminals will also be questioned on police remand to unearth a gang that smuggles ganja. According to the police, smuggling is being carried out by an interstate gang.
