JP Nadda sets up key appointments in BJP state units

NEW DELHI:  Bhartiya Janata Party  President J P Nadda  on Thursday made majaor organizational appointments in some state units of the BJP, drafting the RSS' Rajesh GV as general secretary (organization) in Karnataka.

Rajesh GV succeeds Arun Kumar, who has rejoined the RSS and is regarded as the BJP's intellectual guide. 

According to a BJP statement, Ajay Jamwal, who formerly served as the regional general secretary (organisation) in charge of the northeastern states, will now oversee the party's branches in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh in the same capacity.

As general secretary, Manthri Srinivasulu has been transferred from Telangana to Punjab (organization).

Goa's general secretary (organisation), Satish Dhond, is currently West Bengal's joint general secretary (organisation).

The BJP's "organisation" officials are chosen from the RSS and are crucial to the smooth operation of the party's organisational infrastructure.
