The present Telangana state was once ruled by Nawabs of Asifjahi dynasty. As a protest against the atrocities on the tribal population, Komaran Bheem began the massive revolt against the Nizam Government in a guerrilla campaign. He fought for the 12 Gond villages and gave the popular slogan of Adivasi; ‘Jai Jangle Zameen’ (water, forest, land). By definition, it means the people who live in the forest should have rights on all the resources of the forest.
