Kamala Harris congratulates people of Indian origin on Independence Day

Washington: American citizen of Indian origin and Democratic Party leader Kamala Harris has congratulated Indians on Independence Day. On this occasion, he told that the progress that Indians have made in 74 years is amazing. Let us tell you that in the elections going to be held in the US in November, Harris is a candidate for the post of deputy president from the Democratic Party. On the occasion of Independence Day, Kamala Harris said, "Happy Indian Independence Day! Looking back over the past 74 years, it is remarkable how much progress our people have made in the fight for justice. I hope you make the commitment to build a better future."

Indian Independence Day celebrated in the US under a drive-through program: 74th Independence Day was observed in India on Saturday. On this occasion, various programs were organized not only in the country but also abroad. However, due to the covid epidemic this year, Independence Day was organized quite differently. So that people do not come in contact with each other and social distancing was also taken care of completely. A similar Independence Day program was organized in America. On this occasion, Independence Day was celebrated as a drive-through program by Hindustani-Americans. Under this, Indians hoisted the flag in over 800 cars in the suburbs of Washington DC. Keeping in mind the covid epidemic, the event was organized by a couple Manish Sood and Deepa Shahani.

Meanwhile, people appeared in traditional costumes with a tricolor flag in their hands and danced to patriotic tunes. The highlight of this event was the Hindustani flag. The flag was hoisted in the program by Minister of Community Affairs Anurag Kumar, who was the chief guest of the program. In addition, flowers were showered with a chopper on the flag.
