Bangalore: Police have arrested 60 more people in the Karnataka capital Bangalore on Tuesday night. Giving information, Sandeep Patil, Joint Commissioner of Police, Bangalore, said that "60 more people have been arrested in connection with the August 11 violence in Bangalore. 206 have been arrested so far in the Bengaluru violence and vandalism case. Sandeep Patil has said that "Kalim Pasha, husband of BBMP corporator of Nagwara ward, Irshad Begum, has also been arrested. Kalim Pasha is among the 60 people arrested in connection with the incident." Violence erupted in Bangalore on Tuesday night after alleged provocative post on social media by the nephew of Congress MLA Srinivasa Murthy. The situation had deteriorated so much that the police were forced to fire to control the mob. Three people were killed in police firing. More than 50 policemen have also been injured in this violence. The entire incident is from DJ Halli and KG Halli area of the city. The mob vandalized and set fire to the police station after an alleged disputed post on social media.
