From a school dropout to one of Bollywood's highest-paid actresses, Katrina Kaif's journey is an inspiring tale of hard work and dedication. Born on July 16, 1983, in British Hong Kong, Katrina's parents, Mohammed Kaif and Suzanne Turquotte, were a British businessman and an English lawyer and social activist, respectively. Her parents' divorce when she was just a child led to her mother raising her and her siblings single-handedly. Due to her mother's social work, the family relocated frequently, and Katrina was homeschooled by tutors. At the tender age of 14, Katrina won a beauty pageant in Hawaii and began her modeling career, eventually moving to London. Her fashion shows caught the attention of London-based filmmaker Kaizad Gustad, who cast her in the 2003 film "Boom" alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Gulshan Grover, Jackie Shroff, Madhu Sapre, and Padma Lakshmi. Although the film didn't fare well at the box office, Katrina received numerous film offers while shooting in India and decided to stay in the country. Her first Bollywood film may have been a flop, but Katrina's subsequent films, including the 2004 Telugu film "Malliswari" and "Sarkar," showcased her talent. Her breakthrough film, "Maine Pyaar Kyon Kiya" (2005), opposite Salman Khan, Sushmita Sen, and Sohail Khan, marked the beginning of her success in Bollywood. This was followed by a string of hit films like "Namastey London," "Apne," "Partner," "Welcome," "Race," "Ek Tha Tiger," "Singh Is Kinng," "Tiger Zinda Hai," and "Jab Tak Hai Jaan." Today, Katrina Kaif is one of the most bankable actresses in Bollywood, reportedly charging between ₹15-21 crore per film. She is also the face of several beauty brands and has an estimated net worth of ₹263 crore. Katrina's personal life is also a subject of interest, with her marriage to talented actor Vicky Kaushal being a favorite among fans.
