KCR announces Rs 105 crore for formation day fete

HYDERABAD: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR)  today, May 25,  decided to provide Rs 105 crore for the decennial celebrations of Telangana state formation, commencing on June 2nd. The amount will be given to the collectors for state-wide festivities, the chief minister said at a meeting with district collectors held at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat.

KCR instructed the officials to see to it that the 21-day celebrations be planned in a magnificent manner, highlighting the victims' sacrifices and the state's accomplishments over the previous ten years.

He recounted how the Telangana state had been established through democratic and parliamentary means after six decades of struggle and sacrifice. He asserted that the nation is proud of Telangana's quick success.

The all-day conference was attended by ministers, government advisors, the chief minister's advisers, the chief secretary, secretaries in the chief minister's office, district collectors, superintendents of police, the director general of police, and other top officials.

The Chief Minister gave authorities instructions to ensure that the daily programmes are carried out from the village to the state level in a joyful environment. He provided them instructions on the events that will take place in the towns, districts, and congressional districts. For the smooth running of the festivities, he asked the district collectors to work with ministers, MLAs, and other public figures.

On June 2, KCR will dedicate the celebrations to the martyrs of Telangana at Gun Park in Hyderabad. Later, he will address the gathering while raising the flag at the Telangana secretariat. Daily programmes will be held in accordance with the previously announced schedule to highlight the advancements made by the state in areas such as power, irrigation, agriculture, healthcare, and industry.

The presentations will also highlight various initiatives being carried out to benefit farmers and other groups of the population.
