The Kedarnath Yatra has been stopped at Sonprayag due to rain and snowfall in the Rudraprayag district including Kedarghati. Rudraprayag Circle Officer Pramod Ghildiyal said helicopter services from Phata and Gaurikund are temporarily suspended. All those going to Kedarnath have been stopped at the stops of Kedarnath for the time being. The passengers will be allowed to proceed after the rains stop. In view of the same bad weather, the district administration is maintaining all kinds of precautions so that no untoward situation arises. Security forces have been alerted throughout the walkway for the safety of the passengers. Rudraprayag Zonal Officer Pramod Ghildiyal has urged the pilgrims to stay at Rudraprayag and said that the weather is bad due to heavy rains and snowfall in Kedarnath. So don't go ahead at the moment. On the other hand, a two-day alert has been issued by the Dehradun Meteorological Centre. According to the Meteorological Centre, an alert has been issued for rain and strong winds in Uttarakhand on Monday and Tuesday. In such a situation, the devotees coming on the Chardham Yatra have also been instructed to take special precautions. The Meteorological Centre has asked people and Chardham pilgrims in the Chardham route and other areas to exercise caution on Tuesday.
