DAVOS: Union Minister Piyush Goyal, speaking at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting on Tuesday, praised India as one of the top investment locations in the world and urged global business leaders to "come to India and grow with India."
Goyal, who has been meeting with a number of world leaders in New Delhi since Saturday, reaffirmed India's status as one of the world's top investment destinations and informed them of the vast scope and range of opportunities available to investors globally.
He also met with John Kerry on Monday evening to discuss the future of the India-US Climate and Clean Energy Agenda 2030 Partnership. He highlighted how Deutsche Bank chairman-elect Alexander R Wynaendts may help the Indian government achieve its sustainable growth goals during his discussion with him.
The two leaders also discussed how corporations might use digitalisation to achieve environmental, social, and governance goals. He also spoke at a global investors forum in this city.
His other meetings included those with Bill Winters, CEO of Standard Chartered Bank Group, Sanjay Mehrotra, CEO of Micron Technology, and Bruce Flatt, CEO of Brookfield Asset Management.
