HYDERABAD: Telangana's Industry and Information Technology Minister, KT Rama Rao (KTR), embarked for a three-day visit to the United Kingdom on Tuesday. The UK India Business Council will host a series of meetings for him.
Following this trip, the minister will go to Davos for the World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting, which will take place from May 22 to 26.
"Off to the United Kingdom for three days of meetings organised by UKIBC, then to Davos for the World Economic Forum from May 22 to 26." Lots of meetings planned and a busy schedule ahead," KTR tweeted.
KTR, accompanied by senior officials, will meet with top executives from various companies in the UK and on the fringes of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos to boot investment in Telangana.
The World Economic Forum's annual meeting was set for January 17-21, but was postponed owing to the Covid-19 crisis.
WEF President Borge Brende had praised KTR's work when he invited him to the ceremony. "Your vision and drive to making Telangana a premier technological powerhouse are inspiring. India's ability to quickly adapt to innovation and future technology will be critical for a long-term economic recovery as it recovers from the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. Your perspectives on leveraging emerging technologies for the common good will be crucial to the discussions during the Annual Meeting, WEF President had said.
