Bengaluru: Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai hosted a meeting with executives from Dassault Systems and Nestle on Monday to discuss investment opportunities in the state. At the World Economic Forum in Davos, the meeting was conducted to promote Karnataka as an ideal investment destination.
Dassault has expressed an interest in investing in electric vehicles, modern production systems, industrial training for students in Digital 4.0 technology, and a Smart City project in Karnataka, according to the CMO, while Nestle has expressed an interest in modernising and expanding its Nestle Instant Coffee unit in Nanjangud. During the meetings, Industries Minister Murugesh Nirani was also present.
It added that representatives of Siemens and the State government discussed the 'Beyond Bengaluru' project to attract investments to Tumakuru, Hubballi-Dharwad, and Mysuru cities, and that the State government assured the company of special incentives to set up its production unit for modern medical equipment.
During the day, Bommai unveiled the Karnataka pavilion at the WEF summit and spoke with spiritual leader Sadhguru Jaggi' Vasudev about soil extinction, climate change, and ecological degradation.
