Kejriwal called for people not to panic and follow covid appropriate behaviour

New Delhi: In the wake of the detection of the Omicron strain of COVID-19 in Delhi, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal urged residents not to worry, but instead to practise social distancing and wear face masks to stave against the disease.

The situation that has arisen as a result of the finding of the corona variant is being closely monitored by him, and suitable arrangements for all requirements such as beds and medicines will be made available, the chief minister stated in a press conference. "Omicron has detcted the country, and cases have been discovered in many of locations, including Delhi. I would like to urge people not to worry and to maintain social distance while wearing a face mask," he stated. To prevent the spread of Omicron in the country, Kejriwal has asked the central government to halt international flights.

On Sunday, the first case of Omicron was recorded in Delhi. Omicron was found in a 37-year-old completely vaccinated male who landed in Delhi from Tanzania.

On Thursday in Karnataka, the country reported the first two cases of the Omicron strain of COVID-19. a 66-year-old South African traveller and a 46-year-old Bengaluru doctor with no travel history. Both men had received all of their vaccinations. COVID-positive international travellers arriving in Delhi are being admitted to the LNJP Hospital, where they will be isolated and treated in a special ward.
