Kochi: The administration demolished the seaside illegal apartment complexes in Kerala's Kochi district following a court order. Section 144 was imposed around the precautionary administration. Also, movement in land, water and air sector was also prohibited. A warning siren was played before demolishing the building. Firstly the complexes of H2O Holifeth Apartments have been demolished, followed by the second building to be demolished.

The demolition of the third building will be done on Sunday. The companies involved in demolishing the apartment had put explosives in the flats on Wednesday. The apartments built violates the coastal regulation area norms and was demolished on the order of the apex court. The 19-storey H2O Holifeth apartment complex with 90 flats and the Alpha Serine complex with 73 flats was scheduled to be demolished on Saturday. The Jain Coral Cove apartment complex with 122 flats and the Golden Koyloroam with 40 flats will be demolished on Sunday. There are a total of 343 flats in these apartment complexes, which will be demolished through the blast, police said.

Let us tell you that the police had already said that these apartments will be demolished in such a way that there is no damage to other buildings in the neighborhood. People living within 200 meters of the demolished apartment as a precautionary measure were asked to move to another location for two days.
