Kesari box office: Akshay Kumar' starrer witness a decline on Monday

Akshay Kumar’s Kesari is doing a great business at the box-office. After making more than Rs 50 crores in the first three days, the film saw a dip on its first Monday. It made Rs 8.25 crore. The overall collection of the film stands at Rs 86.32 crore.

Sharing the latest box-office collection of the film, the Noted film critics and trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote, “#Kesari should’ve collected in double digits on Mon... North circuits dominate, driving its biz... Faces more-than-required decline in some circuits... Tue-Thu crucial... Thu 21.06 cr, Fri 16.75 cr, Sat 18.75 cr, Sun 21.51 cr, Mon 8.25 cr. Total: ₹ 86.32 cr. India biz.”

Kesari  is based on the epic Battle of Saragarhi of 1897 is directed by Anurag Singh. Battle of Saragarhi that saw 21 Sikh soldiers of the British Indian Army taking on 10,000 Afghan invaders. Kesari is made at a budget of around Rs 80-100 crore and it looks like it's enroute to becoming a clean hit for the makers. Akshay Kumar plays the role of Havildar Ishar Singh in the war epic. Parineeti Chopra has also got a boost with the success of the film. Film’s highlights are the great performances, superb action choreography and its songs like Mitti.
