NEW DELHI: As the crucial Assembly elections draw near in both states, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge is slated to speak at two public meetings in Telangana. Simultaneously, party leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra are gearing up for five rallies in Rajasthan on Wednesday. According to Congress officials, Kharge will be present in Telangana's Alampur and Nalgonda Assembly constituencies on Wednesday. He will kick off with a public meeting at 1:30 p.m. in the Leeja Town area of Alampur, followed by a second address at 4:30 p.m. in Marriguda Ground, Nalgonda. The polling for Telangana's 119-seat Assembly is scheduled for November 30. Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi will commence his rally schedule at 12 noon in Rajakhera, Dholpur district. Subsequently, he is set to speak at 1:30 p.m. in Nadbai, Bharatpur, and conclude with a rally at 3 p.m. in Gangapur, Gangapur City district. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, the party's general secretary, will address two public meetings in Churi and Shahpura at 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m., respectively. The polling for Rajasthan's 200-seat Assembly will take place on Saturday. Vote counting is scheduled for December 3. The Congress aims to secure a second consecutive term in the desert state, which has seen alternating party governments for the past three decades.
