Last week saw the second season debut of The Kardashians, and it got off to a tearful start when Khloe Kardashian was pictured giving birth to her second child with Tristan Thompson through surrogacy at the same time. Following Tristan's paternity issue, which was made public in the season premiere of the first season, Khloe disclosed that she was expecting a baby. Khloe praised her fans on Twitter for their support during a challenging period after the new season debut and sent a message to her followers. She wrote, "I love you! I’m so consumed with overwhelming emotions from reading your tweets and commentary about the premiere episode.” The Good American founder further continued, "I have to be honest I was scared to go online but friends and family kept telling me how loving and kind everybody was. I decided to take a look for myself." Khloe discussed disclosing the news of the second baby in the pilot episode, saying, "It's such a dark cloud around something that's supposed to be so joyous." Kardashian acknowledged that she wanted to keep the information quiet because she was worried about the reaction she would get if she made it public. Midway through July, Khloe and Tristan announced they were expecting their second child. On July 28, a son was born.
