New Delhi: The production-ready version of Kia Motors' first-ever full-size electric SUV, the EV9, will be unveiled in March for international markets. A flagship model in the brand's all-electric lineup, the upcoming e-SUV will be released soon. The automaker claims that the development of the vehicle took about 44 months. The brand's modular E-GMP platform will serve as the foundation for the four-wheeler. The EV9 was initially unveiled at the Los Angeles Motor Show in 2021 as a sneak peek of Kia Motors' future all-electric lineup. The upcoming flagship EV provides a window into the South Korean automaker's cutting-edge design approach. The upcoming Kia EV9 is anticipated to adhere to the concept version's general design principles. It will have flared wheel arches, designer wheels, a silvered skid plate, a digital tiger nose grille, an all-LED lighting system, a wide air dam, cameras in place of ORVMs, and a muscular clamshell bonnet. The SUV's back end will be adorned with roof-mounted spoiler and vertically stacked taillamps. A yoke-style steering wheel, a panoramic glass roof, ambient lighting with multiple colors, multi-zone climate control, and two enormous screens for an infotainment panel are likely to be included in the minimal dashboard design. The safety of passengers would be guaranteed by multiple airbags and ADAS functions. The automaker has not yet released the Kia EV9 electric SUV's technical specifications. However, we anticipate that the EV will support a fast-charging, 800V electrical architecture. It should have a range of more than 450km with a predicted 64kWh battery.
