On the one hand, Shamshera and other Bollywood releases are struggling in the theatre. Kannada superstar Sudeep’s Vikrant Rona has managed to earn a whopping amount in its opening days. The movie, which was released in multiple languages across the country, was released on over 450 screens in Karnataka, making it the Biggest opening of Sudeep’s career. As per the latest report Vikranm Rona has collected about Rs 70 crore in Karnataka alone. However, it performed below expectations in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. The film in Hindi, which was released by Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has raked in over Rs 5 crore. And in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the film has earned a combined Rs 6 crore. The film’s worldwide collection from its ticket sales is nearly Rs 95 crore and is all set to enter in the 100 crore club. Speaking about the audience reaction some are comparing the movie with RRR and Pushpa The Rise. Meanwhile, some are saying the movie has a slow start and the story is also not different but the box office report has said it all. About Vikrant Rona, It stars Sudeep, Nirup Bhandari, and Neetha Ashok, is presented by Zee Studios, produced by Jack Manjunath under his production Shalini Artss, co-produced by Alankar Pandian of Invenio Origins, and is helmed by Anup Bhandari. It was released in five languages including Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi. It hit theatres on July 28. With a budget of ₹95 crore, it’s among the most expensive Kannada films ever made.
