Union Sports Minister Kiran Rijiju has asked Sports Authority of India to appoint coaches for the deaf and dumb players. Minister Rijiju has asked Sai to appoint trainers (differently-abled coaches) with specific physical abilities to train players who have difficulty speaking and hearing. On Thursday, Rijiju was responding to a suggestion given by the All India Deaf Sports Council (ERACDC) during a virtual meeting. After this, a Sai official told the media that Rijiju has agreed to the main suggestions. He has told the SAI officials that due to the corona virus epidemic and many factors, this process of the upcoming lockdown may take at least six months. However, members of 15 National Sports Federations were present in the second phase of the meeting through video conferencing.
