Lakhs of liters of water shed from dam for mobile, food inspector suspended

Kanker: An incident is coming to the fore from Kanker in Chhattisgarh, where Food Inspector Rajesh Biswas has been suspended in Pakhanjoor for draining lakhs of liters of water from the dam for his expensive mobile phone. District North Bastar Kanker Collector Priyanka Shukla has issued this order. 

It is written in the order issued by the Collector, Pakhanjur Food Inspector Rajesh Vishwas, in order to find his mobile, about 21 lakh liters of water was drained from the diesel pump between the west weir of the Paralkot reservoir and the scale way for 4 days. An inquiry was conducted with SDM Pakhanjur regarding this. According to its report, Rajesh Vishwas has emptied 41104 cubic meters of water from the reservoir's waste water without permission. 

Food Inspector Rajesh Vishwas did not take permission from any competent officer to extract water and by misusing his position, wasted lakhs of liters of water in the scorching heat. This is their unbecoming conduct which cannot be accepted. Food Inspector Rajesh Vishwas is suspended with immediate effect for acting contrary to the Chhattisgarh Civil Service Rules. During the period of suspension, his headquarter will be District Office, Food Branch, Kanker and till he remains suspended, Vishwas will be paid subsistence allowance as per rules.
