Lap dance in 'Magic Mike's Last Dance' was 'physically challenging': Salma Hayek

LOS ANGELES: With "Magic Mike's Last Dance," actress Salma Hayek will enter the "Magic Mike" universe. The passionate scenes between Salma Hayek and Channing Tatum generated a lot of buzz when the teaser trailer for the Steven Soderbergh movie debuted, according to deadline.com.

The actor, who was nominated for an Oscar, is now talking openly about the moment and how difficult it was to shoot. A passionate lap dance occurs in the teaser when Tatum's Mike Lane reveals to Hayek's character what he truly does. In a chat with Entertainment Tonight, Hayek stated, "It's quite physically demanding.

"Goodness me. Simply wait and watch. It's just difficult." Hayek told Antonio Banderas, her co-star in "Puss in Boots," "I portray a strong woman." "You know how my day was when I went to work? I would merely stand around and observe, say, 12 men performing pirouettes while somewhat naked. And I got to dictate to them." After joking, "poor girl," Banderas said he would have had a cameo in the movie.

"And he would have. He would've humiliated them," Hayek added

He dances pretty well, Antonio. Thandiwe Newton was meant to take over the part, but Hayek stepped in. A Warner Bros. representative had earlier this year stated that the "Westworld" star left the movie "to deal with family problems." Ayub Khan Din, Jemelia George, Juliette Motamed, Vicki Pepperdine, Gavin Spokes, Catilin Gerard, Christopher Bencomo, and Nas Ganev are among the other actors who appear in "Magic Mike's Last Dance." The movie will debut in theatres on February 10, 2023.
