Jabalpur: A fire broke out due to a short circuit in Richhai Transformer Factory at Adhartal in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. The accident is said to have taken place near 7.30 pm. Due to the fire, there was a sudden explosion in 2 cylinders. 12 thousand litres of oil kept in the factory also caught fire. The fire was so severe that smoke was seen coming out of the factory for 5 hours. The house of the factory guard has also been burnt in this fire. According to the information received, the people present at the spot immediately informed the fire brigade about the incident. As soon as the information was received, 5 vehicles of the fire department left and started extinguishing the fire. About 40 to 50 people had to work for a long time to douse the fire. According to reports, the fire could be brought under control after about five hours of hard work and the use of 3 tankers of water. The repairing and construction of the transformer were being carried out in this factory. The fire is said to have caused a loss of lakhs of rupees in the factory.
