BANGALORE: President Ram Nath Kovind is arriving in Bengaluru for a two-day visit. On Monday, the President will open the platinum jubilee festivities of Rashtriya Military School in Bengaluru. The President is set to inagurate a 3-day ceremony at Rashtriya Military School's Chanakya Auditorium to commemorate the platinum jubilee.
It's also a historic day for the school, as it will be welcoming its first class of female cadets as boarders in the coming academic year.
A spectrum of activities were held in the lead-up to the platinum jubilee festivities, including a 10-day bike excursion that began on April 14 and covered 1,800 kilometres, promoting awareness about the school in isolated towns across southern states.
On Monday night, the President will make a stay at Bengaluru's Raj Bhavan. He will dedicate the "ISKCON Sri Rajadhiraja Govinda Temple" ISKCON, Vaikuntha Hill, off Kanakapura Road in Doddakallasandra on the outskirts of Bengaluru on Tuesday.
